Many months ago, Jared and I put an event on our respective work calendars called, “Jared and Mary flee the snow to California”. And while we are experiencing a balmy February so far, winter still lasts 6 months at our house, and time in shorts and tank tops with sand in between our toes (and everywhere else, thanks to the magic that is a solid shake from Kobuk) and sunburn concern had us longing. So we packed up, drove across the rest of the west to California and spent a week exploring the coastline.
Kobuk had never been to an ocean before, so while he loves water, I was uncertain how he would feel about it being salty with waves.
But I guess he liked it.
